St. Pius X
Feast Day: August 21
Patron of First Communicants
St. Pius X was the two hundred fifty-ninth pope. During this saint’s time on Earth, he waged a war against heresy and the evils of Modernism. He also brought about the formalization of Canon Law. St. Pius also restored the idea of frequent communion from childhood. St. Pius reminds us of the simplicity of human life and the humility of the heart are indispensable conditions of Christian life.
